Flowers and floral arrangements form an integral part of the decorations. Perhaps more than any element, lighting plays an important role in setting the mood. Table setting and place settings should also be appropriate for the theme. Other elements include draped fabrics, fountains, potted plants, ribbons and bows made of satin or sheer organza. Balloons can add a fun touch to the celebrations especially floating from the ceiling. Ribbons trailing down add to the effect.

As with the church, before making too many decorating decisions, you should check with the location for any rules concerning decorations. For example, some reception halls will not allow open flames. Some will not allow you to hang anything on the walls. As in a church, candelabras are also good wedding decorations.
